Observations

During my time working in IT most of that in a unix, linux world with the excursions along the way into the Microsoft domain, lately working in an Apple environemnt deploying an MDM (JAMF Pro) for a fleet of Mac Computers.

Working in an integrated environment with Mac and Windows Systems

In that time I have seen a lot of changes from my early time writing applications in Fortran and C to the current world of containerisation and the cloud.

Although recently I have not been writing much code for a living, predominantly working as an IT Project Manager, developing solutions based around SugarCRM/SuiteCRM) and management reporting solutions using Jasper-Reports / SSRS / SQL. Also supporting solutions that I have developed in the past. I have maintained my skills and understanding of application development and continue to expand my knowledge and understanding across development, networking and more recently DevOps.

Over my career I have developed a wide range of solutions covering different industries and application environments, and have been engaged in a number of different roles across IT.
