PLS was a solution developed in C under HP-UX and Solaris to fulfil the following functions
- Hold Personal information of Skilled Offshore Contract workers.
- Allow flexible searching of the presonnel database to find staff for new employment opportunities
- Manage the recruitment process for Offshore contract staff
- Manage the logistics of sending personnel offshore, travel, accomodation, certification, Rota management, Saftey Gear allocation
The solution was then extended into a solution to manage the Person on Board (POB) requirements between the Heliport and 15 offshore installations, flights, accomodation and muster points.
